About this Blog

bridge-drina

This blog is intended to be my platform to bring stories from Balkan news to the attention of others.  My aim is for it to be journalistic but also historical and anecdotal.

I chose this topic because of the time I spent living in Serbia, three years teaching English, to be precise. This also gave me an opportunity to visit each of the other countries this blog concerns, Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia (or FYROM if you prefer), and Montenegro. The EU members Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovenia may also sneak in occasionally.

I hope you find it reasonably entertaining or at least interesting. This is a part of the world for which many people’s knowledge remains dim, maybe I can do a little to rectify that situation.

Because I’m too fond on wasting my time on other matters, to be honest.

I started it for my University Course and would like to carry on with it, laziness would be one word I could use.
